Here on the farm we have a cottage size wool mill, where we create lovely farm fresh yarn for your next project!  We source all of our fiber locally, and use sustainable practices to mill the fiber.  The mill is also solar powered!  We are a very small batch mill, if you like something grab as much of it as you can because we may never be able to replicate that exact fiber or yarn again.

Make sure to sign up for the newsletter to learn more about what is going on on the farm, and to find out when we have tours and open house days!  These are great opportunities to see the mill, grab some new fiber or yarn, and harvest dye stuff in the dye garden.  Did we mention we have a dye garden?  Heck yea!  Maddy Bartsch is owner and sole gardener (this is Theresa updating this section of the website, and those who know me know… I just do sheep) and has a variety of dye plants to give you all the colors you want!  Maddy also offers lots of pre-mordanted items so you can just get to dyeing without all the prep work.  To add to Maddy’s plate, Maddy also is the brains behind all of the felted products, so make sure to check out the sponges and fabrics.

Like I’ve said above, we are a sustainable farm and mill, all the wool that isn’t the best for yarn we send it to our friends at St Peter Woolen Mill to be turned into bedding, or used in our sponges, or turned into wool pellets for fertilizer.  We are doing our little part to make this world a letter healthier, one skein at a time.
