I can’t believe I am parting with this wool, seriously this should be hidden away in my stash! But alas, I should share!
This delightful yarn is the product of our lambs fleeces which were harvested in the fall. The ewes spent about 125 days growing the lambs, 6 months or so feeding and caring for them, and I spent about a month washing, picking, carding, spinning, plying and skeining this fiber for you! This wool is a cross between Icelandic and Bluefaced Leicester. It is bouncy and soft, strong and silky, and it has luster for days! The white is more reprensentation of the BFL locks, and the black takes after the Icelandic more. Interesting how genetics work.
Each skein is 250 yards of 2 ply perfection in a delightful sport weight.
