Tamarack

from $20.00

Can ewe believe I got Liz from Snug & Spun to dye some skeins for me?! Ewe better believe it! But let’s talk about the fiber. This is wool from Medicine Creek Farm up in Pine County MN, they raise a specific type of sheep that was developed here in MN, the Tamarack Sheep. The sheep are a cross of Ile de France and Dorset, with a finewool added in I believe, the breed is not a standard breed yet, but that doesn’t make their wool less interesting! I grabbed two bales from the farm and blended it with some Mohair to make this delightful yarn!

Liz did a Wicked Good job dying the fiber, and we have three lovely colors to chose from. I think they would be delightful as a colorwork hat or mitt, mmm mitts. Grab them up before they are gone!

Each skein is 200 yards of MN perfection, Sport/DK weight, 2 ply.
